One of the best flying and best sounding P-47's I have seen. I believe it is a Don Smith. Sounds a lot better than a radial:

Saw that plane at Monster planes last year. That thing is HUGE!!!!, and not just in wingspan! Very nice plane.

I believe those two videos are of the same plane that belongs to Manny.
He was a couple tents down from me at WOD (at least I think it was there after going to 17 of them!) and he flies every chance that he gets and 'hauls butt' with it.
I think he said his weighs around 65-70 lbs so you'll have to get a 'waiver' for it.

That P-47 on www.mnbigbirds.com was built by Jim Greenly and is now owned by me. It has a 3W150 in it, weighs 73 pounds and is a 124 inch in span. I was the original test pilot.

Hi Jeff,
Can you tell me how is this kit.
I understood it has the glass parts but you have to cut the wings, elevators and rudder. Are they suplying the wood parts cut or not?
What kind muffler do you have on it?
Do you know how long should I wait for the delivery?
How does it fly?
Thanks,
Marcelo
