My brother and I planned on attending the War Birds over Georgia event, but had to cancel. I'm hoping to make this event and meet some of the same folks.
This gives you time to paint that bloody propeller.... Perfect model 2nd place in a static show and now a blunt Vess[:'(]??
Yea, I know. She does fly good on that Vess though.

Hey Jesse,

Does that mean the maiden flight is tomorrow? I don't want to miss it.

Jesse,
What engine are you using in your Zero? Let us know how the maiden goes.

Carl,
Yeah, I am pretty bummed about not going to WOD again this year. It is just really hard to find hobby time right now with work, house, 2 little kids, and taking classes at night. I really got to get my Zero done for next year. Have fun and represent the northeast well!!!!!!!!

Later,
Tony Gag Jr.

Over the years, the events sponsored by the Delaware R/C Club have benefited several local charities. This year, our main focus will be the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation [link]http://www.alexslemonade.org[/link] fighting childhood cancers.
We are proud to announce that our 2nd named charity organization for Warbirds Over Delaware 2010 will be the [link=http://uso.org]USO[/link].

Today, Friday, it looks just like typical summertime scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon with a high of 91 degrees. You can see the hour-by-hour forecast at:
http://www.weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/19720

Saturday doesn't look too good.
http://www.weather.com/weather/hourb...r=7&begDay=191

I typically don't rely on weather forecasts, especially in this area, but I think its important for people traveling.

Yesterday, the event was very busy. I'm sure we'll be kicking today as well!

Best,
Brian

I'm sure the pics will be coming soon. Plenty of cameras out there.

In the mean time, here is a relatively decent article by the local newspaper. Some errors, but still well done.

http://www.delawareonline.com/articl...over+Lums+Pond

at 7:00AM, rain is just moving in. Weather forecast is available at: http://preview.weather.com/weather/t...ar+DE+USDE0001

If you look at the radar, and select future weather, you will see that there is some drying in the area until around 12:00 noon. However, I really don't place too much trust in this system.

I just talked to Zeke from Park Scale Models who is a vendor there. The rain has moved out and people are flying. I hope it's going well. I had a blast last year and hope to make it back soon.

Uncle, a pretty decent picture of my SE5a in flight taken by a friend of mine on Friday evening.

I have some photos but..they are taken in the "storage tent". My photo day was going to be today, Saturday. Unfortunately it rained pretty heavy all day so there weren't planes out on display as normal.

Sorry..

Thanks to all of the pilots, crews, vendors, sponsors, spectators and volunteers that made WOD another great event!

Saturday, we had constant ran from about 7:00AM until 2:00PM. During the rain, several electric foamies took to the sky and entertained the crowd. I was amazed at how many people, including spectators, stayed during the rain even when checking the local weather radar failed to bring good news. Once the rain stopped at around 2:00PM, planes took to the sky. There were a couple of brief, light showers, but flying continued.

After hours events brought on "electric frenzy". What a blast!

I left at 8:30PM and there were still people flying! Word was that several pilots were staying for Sunday, even though its not an official event day. Even Fast Eddie, the airshow announcer, told me to keep the PA system up for Sunday!

Big thanks go out to Pete and Dave, and all of the volunteers for yet another year!

Now I'm going to sleep......for about a month.........well, at least I'm happy I took off from work on Monday.[&o]

Best,
Brian
