Knowledge Quiz for Warbird wiz

I believe they had 4 or 5 P-38 at a gathering to do some flying together. So there are "many " flying.
I saw swamp ghost in Nov 17 and I would say that yes I suppose it could be restored but I doubt 5% would be original It has significant corrosion.
They could run the museum for a decade or two for what they would spend on the restoration. I think keeping the museum open and telling the story of ALL the planes is money spent more wisely.

It is indeed the Natter. (Why anyone would name a military aircraft after a mostly harmless set of snakes I don't know.) Here's a link to a site that gives a fair amount of information about it.

The Wikipedia page is pretty complete as well. A number of people seem to have devoted a lot of effort to figuring out how many of these were built and what happened to them in the end, which strikes me as an odd sort of hobby. It was a very interesting aircraft, though.
Well done, CF105.

Alrighty then, I've got one for you all.
Looking for an aircraft:
1) This design only had one flying model built out of two that were constructed.
2) The design had some "out of the box" thinking involved
3) While this design was flown during a war, it never flew a combat mission
Good Luck

4) This aircraft was faster than almost every other one of the class
5) This aircraft was powered by two engines with a unique arrangement
Good Luck

7) The aircraft that was accepted from the same company was roughly 40 MPH slower and slightly shorter ranged
