CMPRO Spitfire 50 size
Hi All,
Does anyone have any links/ info on the CMPro Spitfire 50 size ??
( I have done a search here but there appears to be nothing on this specific model. ) I am fairly sure I saw a thread on it somewhere ???
It has a 52" wingspan and a fibreglass fuse for .46 2strokes or .50-.60 4 strokes.
Any help would be appreciated .
Cheers,
Merlin Man.

RE: CMPRO Spitfire 50 size
Just an FYI , Hobbyking has a really nice spit in eletric aprox 55" span , complete with retracts for about $199, I think the killer is the $64 for shipping from China , all epo foam but outstanding paint and finish -
You have to provide an email to see the pics , there is a very long thread under giant electric warbirds in rcgroups

RE: CMPRO Spitfire 50 size
Hi,
From what I have looked at with this model, weight seems to be the only possible issue.?
Does anyone have a finished weight and comments re wing loading and "flyability" ? It seems its P51 stablemate is a little on the heavy size and consequently fast , especially on the landing.?
Thanks
MM.

RE: CMPRO Spitfire 50 size
I just finished building mine tonight. It came in at exactly the same weight as my CMP P51 50 sized plane. I used the same gear, so it makes sense, but I build heavy. It came in at 7 lbs. even, but others have built theirs at 6 lbs. I'm using a big motor and big battery.
Here's the thread I've been following.

I created a nice cockpit graphic that I posted in that thread, at post 100. It looks great in the plane, way better and more authentic than the crappy cockpit graphic CMP stuck in it. I posted it so others who are building this plane could print it out and glue it in.
I'm doing the maiden in the morning. I hope it flies!
