Default P-40 debate

The P-40 IS not offered by ANYONE as a .40 to 46 size kit. PICA HASthe1/6 scale 71 inch
wingspan warhawk semi sym airfoil, 1.08 engine . topflight also has the warhawk . 64 inch span 60 size.
MY QUESTION is , can you lighten the 71 inch warhawk by Pica , because for 30 more dollars i think its a better deal than the TOPflight . With no glasing , no retracts , is it possible to get the weight down to mabey a 90 size
engine?? I DONT know why no one offers this famous airplane in a more affordable kit 46 size.

thanks for any info

Wing MFG makes a P-40 kit (short kit or complete kit both available...) It is intended for a .40.

The constructin is fairly simple... foam core wings and a slab/box base fuselage with a formed canopy and rear deck. (short kit has cores, cowl, canopy/deck and the firewall, plus some misc pieces... cut your own fuselage sides and sheet tailplanes., select your own wing sheeting.)

Should take an average modeler 1 month from recieving the box to having it in the air. A quick builder... 2 days.

Wing Mfg. going under? Bad news for the hobby. They've been making good kits for quite a while.

The only 40 size P-40 I know of is the Kyosho, dare I say it, ARF. Don't know how well it flies as I don't own and don't know of anyone that does. Just an FYI
