What you see here is the prototype. Hopes are to have it out this year, most likely in ARF and ARC form. You probably won't see this on the website for a little bit.

Ya gotta love the sound of 2 DA 50's purring along together.
Nice size airframe as well, do you guys have a AUW weight for the prototype?

Thats just the prototype, the production plane will have some adjustments. Here are some more proto pics on a couple overcast days. Counter rotating DA50's, has a really cool fowler flap setup too. Very stable and slows for landing great! Flew out of our little field no problem.

I am curious of the construction of the plane that it is so light for it's size.
Is the plane all wood?
Glass Booms, Center Pod?
What is it covered in?
Any dead weight needed in the prototype?
Curious minds want to know.
Great Looking plane.

Darrell, the prototype is mostly wood built-up with fiberglass detail parts. This particular one is covered in film covering over the wood, so if you decide to glass and paint an ARC version then you'll need to adjust the weight accordingly.

Stuka,
As said earlier in the thread, we did supply the retracts for the Prototype.
Not that I knew about it though.
We do have a set on the shelf if you need them.

If the economy ever turns around we may get back on this project. We would love to bring a scaled up version of this. As you can imagine though, there's quite a bit of R&D that goes into a plane like this. Everything has to be spot on before we would consider offering it. The original is still flying though and it's not been forgotten.
