RE: ESM T-28
Haven't got much done on the T-28 due this wild weather we are having in Brisbane over the week 200mm plus rain and 90km winds and local fooding like we had back 2011. He a few pics of the wing just play around with wheel wells to get right it's shame they ain't out of fiber glass.

RE: ESM T-28
If anyone has any thoughts i am trying to install an airbrake from what i can see in the picture it looks like the servo and pushrod are connected to a control arm that is tightened to a pivot rod. I wouldnt think this would be strong enough against the wind when deployed. Any thoughts onthis setup or another ?

Hello Uri
Cool Pictures, you have a nice flyingzone.
Hope you have many good Flights.
Beware of the Sharp edges on the Pullpullsystem, the Problem is, they cutt the Cables after a couples off movement.Deburr the Holes and you have no more problems.

RE: ESM T-28
It has been a big help reading through the forum.
The CG is spot on. My maiden flight was 4 weeks ago, i didn't check the lateral balance and she kept rolling to on side. It was a bit sluggish at first but i think it was the nerves. 2 min in the air and something come flying of the plane, we all thought it was the muffler so i went to bring it in but there was no nose wheel or strut. Only damage was a broken muffler. I recommend super lock tight on the grub screws and flattening the pin for better grip. Week later back up in the air, after fixing the balance and making a new strut. It looked the part in the air. Not sure on how to add pics If anyone let me know [img][/img]

Hi T-28 Guys. Haven't heard from any one for a while. I now have a pilot and cockpit set-up in my T-28. Flies GREAT. I have my main landing gear door finished and will put them on next. Col. Chuck Winter

I did talk to Ron at Down & Locked today on another subject and brought this up. A simple slide for the motor to amp out (instead of troublesome switches) would be an easy enough lateral worm drive deployment with no battery drain.... Then I am thinking ideal for flaps too. SOOooo ... got the engineering brain working on a solution here.

RE: ESM T-28
Im running a DLE 55 with a 20x10 3 bladed prop and ESM electric retracts.
Tip with retract, drill hole through leg and pin. I lost mine front nose leg on the first flight, resulting in a bent/cracked muffler and prop.
Ive gone to a 23x8 2 bladed prop until she flys good and made a front nose leg.
Second flight was much better, balance well, flew sweet until dead stick.
Came down wind and was coming in hot, resulting in retract ripping out of the wing leaving a big hole in it.
All fixed and ready for third flight.
