The weather has been amazing here. Looks like I got the old Pica FW 190D9 finished. Cool little 15cc gasser powering her.

Ready to go too!

Can someone give me a run down on the airplane inspections?

I think I am good after 86 flights on the P-47 but I want to be sure.

TIA

Tim

There is no inspection per se; however, all pilots are expected to take all necessary steps to assure that their aircraft is/are in top working condition. As with all AMA sanctioned events pilots certify the integrity of their aircraft by signing the AMA safety attestation document. Individuals bringing "experimental" class aircraft must bring a current "permit to fly". Turbine pilots must produce their turbine waiver and also sign the appropriate turbine operator's statement of compliance in additional to the safety attestation document mentioned above. Should we become aware of problems with a particular aircraft we will conduct a detailed inspection.

Fair enough, I look after my planes very well but always like a buddy to look at it too.
I think this comes from flying ultralights for many years. We always looked over each other's
planes. We did a few fly-ins and did have an inspection on every machine. Thanks for the reply,
My P-47 is pretty simple compared to some, but is a great performer! See you there.

Cheers Tim

Yes,you can bring your own pop up tent. THe large rental tents are usually rented by a bunch of guys who want to share the space.

We still have BBQ tickets for Friday night and also banquet tickets for SAturday. THe informal banquet will feature a prime rib dinner with a double Ace fro WWII. THere is a ton of quality stuff that will be auctioned at the banquet as well. Kits, JR 12 ch radios, Futaba 14 ch radio, engines. Most items sell for way below street value. Yes , we take credit cards.

We will have food at the field starting noon on Friday. Also breakfast Saturday and Sunday.

Looks like we will have a full size jet and some WWI planes for the flyover. THe pyro show is going to be full of new surprises.

Just got in looks like the work is in full swing out at the event site. Tents going up Brains and the guys are working hard to get things ship shape for the event. Looks like we’re going to have fine weather. Man if you’re still on the fence about attending fall off on the side here in Colorado you won’t regret the trip!
