Got the pannel lines on top of the wing. Never have done it this way. Put the chartpac down free hand then shot primer over it and then pulled it off. Not sure if i like it yet....

In the past i have always left the tape on the wing and painted over it. We will see how this looks after rivets and paint. The rivets will be put on using a different method. I guess this plane is just one big hold my beer and watch this stuff thing.

well like i said this is a hold my beer and watch this project. My buddy Gpete came up with this idea. I applide the rivets on the top of the wing. They are cut from vinyl. Well see how it works out.

Man I bet it was a whole lot easier putting on the rivets with the vinyl cutter. I will be anxious to see how it turns out!

He just picked up the second sheet - the first sheet had 5776 I calculated 214 feet of rivets on a 85 inch Jug, that's around 8500 rivets...

and here is the proff that warbird guys like sand paper. Primer the bird sand almost all of it off add pannels primer and sand again. It will soon be time for that trip to home depot to get the paint mixed.

Once again its looking fantastic!
I too am looking forward to seeing how the vinyl rivets turn out, it would seem like its a pretty quick way to add some detail.
By the way what scheme are you going to go with?
