So if I want the p-47, buy top flites giant kit or zirolis kit? I have the building experience, i just saw the ESMLink and questioned on it. Ive built the ziroli b-25, and p-51. Any threads on the ziroli p-47 out there?

I use Sierra Retracts on the ESM and Robart on the TF. On the ESMI have an Evolution26 and on the TF I use a DLE 55. I have about 95 flights on the ESM and about 30 on the TF. Lowwingloads imply very forgiving planes on landing,with great aerobatic performance.
Based on my own experience I can recommend both.

I have the ESM ME 109 with a Turnigy 26CC gas engine spinning a 17 x 8 prop. I bought the ESM retracts as the wheels themselves are fantastic, to scale and made from turned aluminium. The air system on the ESM was pretty cr*p to say the least so I converted them to electric employing the Lado 666 motor units which work well. Although its a heavy plane and has an awful stall characteristic I just love flying it, as does Fritz the pilot!!. It always turns heads at the field as well.

Are the wings of the ESM FW-190 and T-28 Trojan completely sheeted now? I only saw partly sheeted wings a while ago.

I own the following ESM planes:
ME-109E with saito 180 spinning 16x8 3 blade with Sierra giant retracts
ME-109E with e-flite power 110 spinning 20x10 2 blade with ESM aluminum wheels/retracts
P-51B with turnigy 5065-270kv spinning 16x12 4 blade with ESM retracts/wheels
FW-190A8 with saito 180 with ESM gear/wheels
95" B-25 with two saito 170 radials with Robart 640 series retracts
95" ME-110 with two power 60's with ESM gear
80" Stuka B
All have flown but the B-25 and ME-110. All fly very well, but the p-51's CG is listed way too far aft.
The ESM retratcs are actually quite good, but if for some reason they dont hold air, just unscrew the air cyliner and put teflon tape on the threads and put it back together. For a standard 71-74" plane the retracts at $139 are a great bargain and will work just fine.
Now...I did have the old Gen II gear from the first me-109E that were sold when KMP was still the name brand we knew ESM by and they sucked big monkey balls.
However, the planes themselves are very good quality

I have the FW 190 with a DLE 30 Gen 5 retracts converted to electric,Down and Locked. 15lb 7oz dry.I didn't like the integrity of the air system as supplied and I believe electric has superceded air now anyway.[X(]The comments about thin aft fuse I go along with 100%.One or 2 light formers in there make a huge difference to the overall integrity and stiffness ,esp with the narrow cross section,as opposed to a some of the rounder more inherintly stable convex shapes.Aft weight is always the enemy of course ,so before you all decend on me like a pack of vultures,that has to be noted.
Over all a great plane,flies beautifully,good value,and a wide range of choices from ESM for warbirds . Quick build and adequate instructions for anyone who has put together a couple of ARF's.I think you can't go wrong choosing one of these.By the way,thanks to the forum pages I have a new ,more scale spinner from skyshark that arrived yesterday and is in paint now.Will be fitted asap.

Guys im getting to pull the plug and buy one of these ESM tbolts and was wandering what type of flying characteristics it has. Does it stall easy, glide well, etc... Im planning on using a DLE 30cc for power

From what I've heard the T Bolt has very nice flying characteristics, but don't mark my word because thats what I heard. I also saw one with a Zenoah G38 so you should be good with the DLE 30, because the G38 was more than enough power.

I have flown extensively (since 2009, still going strong) the ESM P-47 with Sierra Retracts and Evo 26 cc gas engine. A great flying airplane with extremely low stall speed, and no tendency to flicking on landing. And great value for the money. One suggestion:Make sure you strengthen the inside of the firewall with e.g. fiberglass cloth and epoxy, this will make it a lot more durable than if you don't.
Good choice.
