I was Invited to Carson cityand asked to bring the Mariner for static display on the 31st of July for there first anual Fly @ meet and greet. It was a good turn out about 100 people showed up and I got to meet a P5M Marlin pilot.

Sorry about the abuse to your plane.   Best to grin and bare it!    Like Tom said, if there is any cost to the repair, let us know and the club will reimburse you.  Thanks again for bringing it out in the sun shine!

Heres an interesting story about the leading edge of the wing . I have a friend an neighbor who is ,well lets just say hes a seasoned pilot who gave me a big chunk of balsa. he said he got it at a surplus store after the war in 46.Before that time he told me that balsa was rare due to the war effort, you see they used balsa to make the life rafts for the Navy.
He then told me that they would buy these big chunks and cut them down to make there models , now thats old school. So my Mariner has come full circle having a piece of ww2 history in her, and after 65 years the wood is still in great shape . Thanks Carl .NJ

Beautiful plane. I have a 1/12 scale zero that screams that I would be more than happy to attack your plane with if you so desire. Seriously the plane is really a work of art. congradulations and good luck with it.

Mental note; Camping gear in the rafters may cause damage! Yep landed right on top of my Keith Sparks certified after market canopy and smashed it to pieces. So instead of ordering a replacement canopy at Sparky2 @att.net I built my own.
