FW 190 Power options.
Hi guys,
I have a FW 190 Dora that I am bashing into the A variant ( because of balance issues). I need to know what engine size (4C) would power it well. It is roughly 1/8 scale ( 1.3m span/51"). I was thinking of putting a magnum .61 4 stroke on it but I looked at the Kyosho arf which recomends a 0.52 to a 0.56 size 4 strokes. The kyosho has a 55" built up wing.
The plane I have was given to me about 15 years ago as an already built kit. Being a fairly old kit (make unknown), it was built very strongly and it has a sheeted foam wing. All this makes it a bit heavier than the ARF.
What would your reccomendations be?

RE: FW 190 Power options.
Thanks Scale,
When I was looking at the plane, it looked like it didn't need that much of an engine. I will get the .61 then, or maybe the .52. Sorry no pics yet, the plane looks like it was in a war. (sorry bad pun). I am busy hacking up the frent end to install a new motor box and tank housing. Will post some soon!

Just as a note.....I have a few of the Kyosho 55-57" planes including the ME-109. Ive got a saito 72 in the 109. yes it would fly ok on a .52 4 stroke, but with a smaller prop. On the 72, at least i can spin a 12x8 or an 11x8 3blade. On a .52, you can spin a 10x8...maybe an 11x7.
