Has anyone else noticed that the aluminum wing tubes don't fit in the outer wing panel carrier tubes? Also, the engine "pod" fits nicely in the fuselage however it results in left engine thrust. So far, these two items aside, its a nice model. The glass wing center section is particuarly noteworthy for its build quality and it fits very well into the fuselage. I'm not going to do a thread but if anything of importance crops up I'll post it.

I quit when I started hearing cracking. Looking in the carrier tubes you can see the aluminum tube is shaving the glass. I should add the ends of the aluminum tubes are not dressed so perhaps cleaning them up will allow them to fit. I should have done that prior to waving a warning flag.

I rotated the pod in the fuselage and the firewall offset angle did not change from its port leaning direction. This was a pretty quick look so hopefully I'm missing something.

Ok I just checked the wing tube and the fit. The wing tube ends should be sanded before any attempt to put into the wing. They have burrs on both ends. The inboard wing has over spray into the tube are causing it to be very tight and you need to sand away the overspray. The tube are still a tight fit but will go in and out. If you are going to keep this as a 3 piece wing you may want to install permanently in the outboard wing and just push it into the inboard wing....

Hi Ty I'm contemplating this bird as well but noticed the leading edge dowels that plug into the saddle are not predrilled how did you work that out, not really much to measure from lemme know

On this one it is pretty easy. To Make sure that they are exactly the way you want them. You should measure and drill your holes in the fuse side first. I would go a smaller size drill bit than it calls for to begin with. I would drill the holes in the fuse. I then would mount the fuse onto the wing and then reach inside the fuse ( through the firewall opening)using the same size drill bit. I would push the bit from the insde and turn it to mark your holes on the front of the wing. ESM has always just had you measure and drill. I have always been uneasy doing this but I have not messed up yet.

Thanks for checking the wing tube fit Ty. I'll permanently install them in the wing panels and retain the removable option as you mentioned.

Well I'm bummed out. Got my plane today and lots of damage. Cowl is caved in on the top and the paint is flaking off everywhere. The rear of the fuselage is cracked open from the top of the tail down to the base and the paint is all flaking off. Now I get to do the fun go around dance with the vendor. Really bummed out, I wanted to get this bad boy built!

Take plenty of pic's of it in the box and out of the box. Don't throw anything away. yoiu have to keep all boxes and wrapping. Make sure you check all parts and take pic's of any damage. Call and make your claim ASAP...

Has anybody ran into this problem? When the elevator joining wire is installed the part of the wire that goes into the elevators is in the same spot as the pin hinges not allowing for the hinges to be installed. Any suggestions?

Information and comments please

Has anyone completed and flown this plane?

The design of the pull/pull cables for the rudder and elevator seems weak for a 50cc plane and how about maintence, How do you get to the wire connections in the tail after its built.

I have two 50cc planes, the EF edge and the EF yak. There is always PM to do and check after each flying session with all that vibration going on.

I would like to purchase this warbird. but I am looking for some experienced comments

Thank You

Steve

I don't trust a pull pull on the elevator....
