If you go here;
https://maps.google.no/maps?hl=no
And enter kongsberg in the search field, and click the search button, you will find it, I'm sure!
If you zoom out a bit after the search-hit, you will see a lake, called "Eikeren" on the map. That's were
we fly in winther-time.

GO FIGURE..........The internet has made the world a much smaller place..........It's so much fun to share my passion for this hobby where there's people that share the same passion for Warbirds............TOO COOL.

RE: ESM 50cc Corsair
For you gents running the FG-57T Saito in your Corsair, what size fuel tank did you use? I believe it came with an 800cc tank but I'm thinking it's more than I'd need. I understand that fuel consumption will depend on many things but I'm interested in knowing your tank size and your estimated flight time per tank.
Thanks

Mr Grump,
I didn't use the Saito twin, but I did use the Brison 4.2. My point being..........MEVER NEVER have too little fuel. My theory is fly ten minutes, land with atleast a 1/4 tank of fuel left. just two go arounds can eat up half up that. I used the tank that came with the kit and it barely gives me what I would consider acceptable in reserve. In this case...........more is better....

Thanks Capt'n. Appreciate your input. I do want to keep enough reserve but based on my break-in tank for the Saito, the 800cc tank seems a bit large.
Thanks again.

RE: ESM 50cc Corsair
A friend of mine once said "when you are in the s**t in an aircraft the 2 most useless thing are the air in the tank and the air above you". When it comes to tank size bigger is better! And ALWAYS full it right up before every flight!
I have seen so many guys wright off beautiful aircraft because they ran out of fuel. The extra weight is negligible, and you're not pushed for room in this fuse so use the 800cc tank (it fits very well) and fly with a huge smile on your face as you scorch past 15 mins knowing you have another 10 mins in reserve!
I just get 10 mins with the 111 using the std tank. Might put a bigger one in now its in pieces....

RE: ESM 50cc Corsair
Fear not kids, the mighty Horse Hair has been hangared for a strip down and re-fit due to me wearing it out from too much flyin! It has had well over 40 flights and I figured I had better take the wing off and check inside to see if anything had come loose. The rx battery holder was on its last legs and I really need to put a smoke system in it so i figured its time to finish the old bag off.
So the order of play will be:-
Smoke system
Finish off the cowling
Paint the U/C
Finish and install cockpit
Change to seperate servos for rudder and tail wheel
Scale exhaust outlets (undecided)
More scale tail wheel system - sites way too low in the arse like it is...
So, not too much to do really [&:] should only take 3 months... or 6...

Stoat, my stab is getting sloppy. I can move it up-down quite a lot now. I think I need to put in a tube in the center,
where the stab tube can go through. And mould it to the fuse.

RE: ESM 50cc Corsair
Kwik, check my posts. There is a method in there for doing just that. Mine are still rock solid. Have been doing dives at full noise and nothing has fallen off (yet) so strong enough...
