I am an idiot and still holding out hope that the ASM B-17 is still available somewhere. Does anyone have a clue? Even abroad? I would love to make this my new project.

They can be found new in box. The trick is getting the person who has them to let go. I found a Lancaster and a B-17 last year.

If you find one you won't regret the effort it took. Setup and powered right, it is a wonderful flyer.
Good Luck in your Quest.
