Yep, tower has been shipping them for about 2-3 weeks now. I got mine a few weeks ago. Haven't had a chance to start building - vacation until today. It's getting built next week though. Needs retracts.

I have no connection to this seller at all, and I realize this is a kit, but for the electric guys this is a good deal on a plane done right.

I love the P-40 and 60 size warbirds but I'm getting away from glow and want to gas. This questions is directed to those who have actually seen the plane. Will a 15 to 20 cc gasser rear or front carb engine fit in one of these? Particularly the 20cc. I'm not sure of the 15 would have enough power.

I'm hoping the P-40 is no exception, as I would love to electrify it if I had one.

It will actually fit a 26cc gasser as the cowl is pretty big and has a big chin.

The Top Flite '60 size' Mustang ARF AND the '60 size' P-47 ARF BOTH have the 'hidden battey hatches', but Top Flite makes no mention of them in any of their manuals. They are so well hidden, that unless you know what to look for: you may not find them. Thus, I did not make use of the one in my electric powered Mustang.
I'm hoping the P-40 is no exception, as I would love to electrify it if I had one.

...............I have the TF P-40. I do not see a hatch, or a place it would be hidden.

IF is has the 'hatch', it will need to be cut out (balsa sheeting, stringers, and covering). What you will be looking for is double formers and stringers. The magnets are attaching magnets and dowels are already installed, but again: not obviously visible.

CJ,
Having read your post on the TF P-51 build a while ago, it inspired me to get the same kit and do an eletric conversion. Flew great until a tree smacked it down - yes, a tree smacked it down. I did not fly into the tree!
The same lessons learned from your P-51 electric conversion & build thread was used on my TF P-40 (I believe I'm the one LDM is referring to on RC Groups who did the eletric conversion).
With this said, I'm very familiar with the "hidden hatch" you are talking about and I can tell you without a doubt, unfortunately, there is no hatch on the P-40 ARF .60 size.
hk
BTW, here is the link for the LMBT (lazy man's build thread) on RC Groups:

That damn spinner is almost twice as long as it should be.
