I'm getting many requests for shipping costs. Again, your total is $15 including shipping to anywhere in the US. I use the small flat rate USPS box which goes priority.

Thank you for your interest. I hope we can help many of you with balancing needs.

Good stuff. I made a custom fitting weight for a H9 Camel that had batteries & everyhing else stuffed in the nose. Will use some more on the H9 Fokker D-VII.

Gary,
Received the box of steel powder. That was quick! I think it will be a handy and easy alternative to lead.

Just replied. Thanks.

BTW guys, as soon as we are confident we can stay ahead of the demand with our supply, we will be posting a formal ad here in the classifieds, that will be long term. For now, this is working fine. Even now, I send a few boxes out each week. I think, as more work with it, appreciation for it will grow.

Thanks for the support so far.

I have not had one negative comment about it so far.

Thanks pal. They say 'necessity is the mother of invention', and it was the challenge of getting our war larger birds balanced, with their short noses and full scale like details, that brought us to trying this material as an alternative to led.

I'm tired of the usual lead strips. I think your steel powder will be a perfect counter balance. I like the fact that I will be able to form it inside my cowls!!! Again GREAT idea from your earlier posting! As soon as it arrives I'll pull the lead strips and form the new counter balance with your steel powder. Heres a pic of my just completed ESM BF109E

Thank you again for trying it. Please let us know how you like it. I'm glad to be providing what I consider a better alternative to lead.

Yes, I can. Hadn't thought of that, and thank you for the suggestion. I'll bring some boxes already made up, and have a sample there for you to see.

I'm also doing a comparison study of the weight by volume, as compared to lead. I did some very unscientific studies a while back, but this is more precise.

I'll post the results here shortly.

Exactly. I estimate 55 gal to be about 1320lbs.
Looks like I was WAY low on this estimate. It is closer to 2500lbs or even more for 55 gal. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This exact figure will also be in my findings.

Gary, you're coming to TG this year right?

Bring some along, I'll gladly give it a whirl.

I wanna see the 38 and Zombie in person.
