KMP STUKA Original Version
Hi All,
I'm in need of the pre-bent main landing gear wire. Is there anyone out there that might have one lying around due to a crash or something?
I picked up a brand new KMP Stuka from a private party which was still sealed in the original shipping box and they (KMP) failed to include the landing gear wire.
Thank you

I seriously doubt that they would even come close to fitting. If you end up needing it, I'm sure that one of us that fly the plane could take some measurements so you could bent up some wire on your own.

I contacted Tomas at VQ warbirds and if anyone can help it would be him but he told that he has none. So yes I need lots of luck. I just can't believe they (KMP) would leave something like that out of the box....O well the hunt continues on....thanks again!!!!

i find it rather amusing that you blame KMP, they where only the importers, and it would be impossible to check every kit, PLUS, you say it was 2nd hand ?????
All you need is the length from the wing, to the centre of the wheel, then measure the wheel width, you then have enough to draw the shape, and bend a set, i am sure the first measuerment cab besourced on here

RE: KMP STUKA Original Version
I'm sorry, I blame who ever is responsible for the contents packed in the box prior to shipment. I can understand adjustments and all due to being the plane is an ARF this is normal, however, missing components is inexcusable. This is my first purchase so one expects the package to be complete especially for the price. Heard nothing but great things about these planes so when I unpacked everything I was just surprised to see the missing gear. A normal reaction that anyone else would have as well. Thank you for your help and I'm sorry to have offended you I thought you were also the manufacturer not just the distributer!!

I believe it's 1/4" wire for the gear. I'm on vacation so I can't take any measurements until next week. You could either use the method described above to get the dimensions or post up in the KMP Stuka thread and someone should be able to help.

RE: KMP STUKA Original Version
my measurements are 2 1/2 on the wheel end, then 90 degree bend twd the wing. 7 inches there. then another 90 bend for a length of 2 3/4, then another bend into the wing, Im guessing there is about 2 inches in the wing...
