vallawyer, they are still only $299 on Ebay. G62 perfect engine for this. Jimmy, you still flying yours? Someone commented to me that the P 40 looks kind of "plain" without the shark teeth. So what ? Then, why does any other plane look kind of "stupid" with teeth?

the only thing that erks me is that alnost every P-40 ARF out there is an "E" model with the sharksteeth.. I mean really, do we need another one?
Kudo's to Kyosho for at least offering a P-40 with the "Trixie" graphics. mine will be of at least one that existed w/ wartime photographic proof. it's
gonna blow some minds

Hey Oriole, The plane was performing very will, it only took a couple of flights to get used to the landing procedure but once I found the sweet spot it was a plane I really enjoyed flying. It was a dumb thumb moment on takeoff, she pulled a little more to the left than I should have allowed and dumb me plunged on ahead thinking she would get off the ground before impact with the tall weeds. We have a cross strip runway and thats a large mowed area, but not large enough...she got about 2 feet off the ground but not enough for the gear to clear the weeds. the weeds tangled into the wheels and pulled her to the ground. 30 lbs of airplane ripped the fuselage into 3 pieces!!!!!! 31 years in the hobby and this was my all time favorite airplane P40s are my favorite warbird and this was my first. Anyway, Ive moved on to a TF giant p40 arf and will be getting it down this week to start the build I will post when it gets out of the box.

n8622t, sorry to hear that you lost her. This plane does tend to pull left on takeoff. I have 5 GS warbirds I fly, and exept for the Zero, they all have some kind of habit to remember on each. It can be a challenge as they all fly and feel different ! Paul p.s. ( I like the "Go low and make it a show." quote)

N8622t,

Sorry to hear that. If you do decide to build another, they were offering them on EBAY for $299 (or Lower). I haven't checked recently. I'm on my 2nd one after receiver failure... I had so much invested in the retracts, I built another.

Regards,

Oriole.
