You can count on the OK Sooner Squadron to make an appearance at Tulsa Glue Dobbers field. From the last e-mail's I've had with Rich, the SPADS club out of Enid will be making a showing as well. This is the third and final state Warbird of the season and we are not going to pass it up for love or money. And I have an idea Howard (Sallisaw) and some of his crew will be there... along with Clyde (Bartlesville) will be represented as well.

Rumor has it Bill's Corsair will be there as soon as he gets the folding wing plumbing fine-tuned. Maybe a static showing... but it will be flight ready by Muskogee's Hatbox Field gathering in Oct. And put money on Jim's 'Okie Kid' P-51 being there at Tulsa... along with his Stearman or 1/3 Scale Cub. Sooner Squad now has a new PT-19 in the club and it's ready for Tulsa as well.

All in all... the head count coming out of the OKC and Enid areas should be around 8 to 10.

Our group from Enid SPADS Club are looking forward to a good day at field and Saturday night at the casino with the wives. Maybe some flying on Sunday. I will have my Fokker D VII, Fokker Eindecker and the Sopwith Pup. I have been flying all three this past three weekends and they are ready.

I live here in Jenks, close to Tulsa. The Warbirds over Tulsa is a great event, I think it's better that the Heat wave event. You don't want to miss it.

I would also like to invite all of you, and your clubs to come to the Oklahoma Dust Bowl Fly In Sept 16 & 17. at the Holdenville airport. We would Love to have some War Bird Demo's. Search for our threads on all the RC forums, or Google for our webpage.

You can put a head count of about 9+ of the OK Sooner Squadron on the 'show-up' list. The Yellow Shirts will be there with bells on...!!!

Terry... Jim has talked to Freddie and they promised to hold a parking spot for the OKSS... but we are only taking 3 trailers at last count. Are you and Gary going to do a 'one' trailer run together... or both of your trailers...??? Trying to make sure we have trailer room. We should be in the same parking area as last season. IOW... go through gate... veer right.

Jim, Bill, Richard and Slocum should be rolling out around 7:00 AM Friday morn... with the rest of us trailing in as we get there.

Really ready for this one. Temps in the mid to low 80's... which is a cool front in OK for the last two months...!!!

Glad to hear we are going to hook up with both of you this weekend...!!! Was hoping to hear Charles, Woody and Ed might be making the trip as well. I really don't know what the temps have been down in the NDRCC area... but it has been an oven up here... IOW... a 'Geezer Killer' summer and we have all been hiding under the AC for the last 2+ months up here. That really sucked...!!! If the wild fires were not trying to kill us... the heat was.

Bill has really been bustin' it trying to finish up on his Neiuport 17 and it may make the trip as a 'static' anyway. I know 'Beautiful Doll' is coming... but don't know about the C-ARF Corsair...??? Surely he will bring it. Jim has the Sopwith Pup dialed in and it will be there along with 'Okie Kid' I'm sure. I could see your 'Miss Plainfield' and the Spit... but what was that over the blue cooler in the photo...??

Wait to you see what Bill/Sharon pull up in pulling their trailer. I could put a bullet between his eyes... but I kinda like him too much to do that. What really ticks me off... they are not even going to stay in it... they have rooms over at the 'Hard Rock' (I think...???). Heck... I'll stay in it and be security for the field at night as well.

I am pumped about this one...!!! It's been a LONG, hot, dry summer and I have 'summer' cabin fever big time....
