RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)

@108buzz,
Sounds really good. My Keleo exhaust is on the way. Last time I checked, it passed through San Fran.
The spinner is at the powder coating place for a matt off white finish and I hope to have it back on Friday.
I also have a Topflite cockpit on order. It's kind of getting a bit cold here to do test runs
of the engine outside (-11c) and snow. Oh well, I might heat up the garage once I am ready.
I will find out on the weekend if my design of the eight 303 machine gun mock ups will
work.
Will post some pictures of the progress.
I am looking at the robostruts 650's, but am still searching for a good deal on them.

@Moggy,
thank you for the link to the building forum. Lots of good building tips.
I had a look at the cockpit scratch builds. Now that is modeling. I'll have to give that
a try.

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)

I have just added Aeroloft dry- transfer "nomenclature" to one of my warbirds. It is an awesome finish detail to any warbird.

Directions say to cover with a clearcoat. I have been using Top-Flite cler-flat Lustercoat on all of my warbirds as I love the finish look. Does anyone know if the Lustercoat is compatable with the Aeroloft dry-transfers? The can has no desription of the contents make-up. Must be Top secret.

thanks

If I qualify for the Spitfire Brotherhood I'd like to be 'in'.

I'm scratch building63" Spitfirewhen I'm back in Thailand. I'm in North Africa right now. When I sayscratch I mean no proper plans. Iscaled up a small electric model plan just for the overall shape and I've made everything except the RCV SP90 engine, propellor, radio and servos, even down to sawing a plank of linden into strips and sanding them down to make thelongerons and spars.I'm hoping she'll be finished by Christmas and in the air early in the New Year.

I just finished scanning the entire thread for order information on the shirts. It appears the light blue pocket T shown here is the closest to what we are looking for in the blue.

This shirt with the logo attached silk screened on the back is going to run about $20.00 each delivered. Well at least in the US, but will work to ship anywhere they need to go.

Below is the thread info I found.

Please review and confirm the sizes and number of shirts desired. I told the shirt guy there would be about 25 to start with and it looks like we will surpass that number.

The collared shirts run around $6.00 more each, and he did not indicate we could not mix the order up.

Let me know this next week and I will go back with our orders.

Thanks: Steve

MajorTomski lighter color blue. Pocket tee 3 EACH-XXL

glazier808 light blue pocketed tee.

mad web tv scientist whatever comes close to ''royal blue'' with a pocket and collar with short sleeves in large size

FireBee one T shirt and 1 collar shirt. both Large size
FireBee Two large t shirts either blue ok

Brad330l darker blue 'T' would be more practicably but hey humans are pretty un-that so I will go with the flow with two 'Large'

albsurfer 2 tees in Lge if they aren't HANES

F4u5 Pocket Tee XXL, I'm a follower, so I will go with the masses on color

Moggy Pocket Tee please XL, I think we want something closer to ID Blue or roundel blue

prgonzalez I like the dark blue T better

Warbirdguy I like the lighter color blue. Pocket tee XXL

jet22b pocketed RAF blue tee, XL Just let us know the cost

Chad Veich short sleeve t-shirt with the pocket in the darker blue, XXL and XXXL might even be better

triumphman49 2 pocketed Tees in Med

flyntruk would like 2 tees in XXL

Cal Branton I would like a collared shirt in XL

Pitts532M t-shirt and collar shirt please in XL

scooter T shirt also a coller shirt med size if thay fit big small please About the shirts when you have the costs I may buy more

tevans55 Collared XL for me if that is an option

dasintex too complicated of a design to do cheap enough; simple is always better

mistermnkim That would look great on the back of the shirt, and Have SPITFIRE on the front left

dennymo What happened to the Spitfire Brotherhood T-Shirt issue

SIX GUNS T-shirts as to the squadron

stimul8tor Just wondering if anyone settled on the shirt

Saburo Sakai Anything with a Spitfire on it is beautiful

redtail

Super_Chief of course a maple leaf somewhere on the pocket of the shirt
aerofalcon Azure blue with RAF wings on that shirt pocket

j-d

funfly-RCU My vote is for the RAF Color

triumphman49 Really like the collared & pocketed shirt nomination

dennymo I agree. RAF blue is right on.

DGUY I am definitely in on the shirts

Shirt Update:

Our shirts are being screened on Tuesday!!
