RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
I wonder whose tail wheel is shown on the video...it is very scale. As far as I know, Robart does not make a scale tail wheel. Maybe Sierra? Custom? Any ideas out there?

RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
Yeah look at that tail wheel, fantastic looking one it is and only listed for $49.00, can't beat that price. Also look at the wing tips they look right too.

RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
I was wondering why it wasn't released at Toledo - just a month ago......
|
RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
Who cares why:D
It's here now! I'm gonna have to have one I think....maybe a radial as well. For those that know me, I fly electric only, so this is a big deal for me:D Well done guys!!! If all people have to ***** about is the weight, then you've got a winner for sure. Personally I think the weight sounds just about right for this size plane. Casey |

RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair

RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
ORIGINAL: vatechguy3 $1k is a little steep. and 28-32 lbs seems heavy for 85'' wing. would like to see how these compare to the ESM 50CC version. tony No comparing this new H9 bird to the ESM models. We need to talk apples to apples here. Just the scale fidelity and outlines of the new H9 bird, makes the ESM 50cc model look sick. We will not even discuss quality, parts fit, ect ect....... H9 just put themselves into a class all by themselves, as far as 50/60cc class Corsair ARF's go. |
RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
It is the Hangar 9 tail wheel designed especially for this aircraft.
|
RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
John,<div>
</div><div>I hope you do another build thread like you did for the H9 P47 30cc, especially with the radial. It would be nice to see how you set it all up and give it some scale details. I really enjoyed that thread, learned alot, and applied alot of your ideas on my builds. I think I just found my next project!</div> |
RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
Price is pretty steep but the Corsair looks great.
|
RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
My was First thought also, but that is just a first impression.
There is so much already in the plane that it is really a good price. This one looks inline with the aerowork P-51 and maybe even better at that. Just saying now |
RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
I've seen alot of builds were alot of work goes into improveing the scale attributes. Not that there is anything wrong with that, i don't see a rebuild on this one comming anytime soon.
Just saying |
RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
This Corsair is dead on in outline and performance. I would love to detail one out for you guys as well. Right now it is not in the cards for me to do I am sorry to say.

RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
Nice looking corsair except for the shiny finish and the $1000 price tag, by the time you figure in the shipping etc your talking $1200 plus, nearly twice the cost of other similar offerings, now if it came with retracts that would be a different story.
|
RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
Wow, looks nice. Price isn't really bad, I sold my old Byron Corsair airframe only for like $1200. It weighed in at 34lbs, had a Saito 450 RD on it and was clocked at around 100mph so I wonder if the Saito 450 will fit inside that Hangar 9 Corsair cowl??:D I have to get one these......there goes all my scale heli's...[X(]

RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
Are the outer wing panels removable or is it a one piece wing?
Looks really Nice, hope the price will not be prohibitive in Europe Florent |

Three-piece wing with a fiberglass center section. Outer panels are removable. |
RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
Excellent, it is always easier to transport and handle a plane that can stand on its wheels.
Are the main retracts the same as the TF Corsair or are they standard 150? Thanks Florent |
RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
ORIGINAL: David Eichstedt The tailwheel is from Hangar 9. |
RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
Pretty cool but not for a grand just for the airframe. At this price it should be mostly fiberglass at a minimum.
I have the TF GS Corsair and I think that was already too expensive for what it is. This one is over the top. These are made with sheeting thats too light and flimsy so at the field with this heavy plane you have to handle it with extra care or you just ding it up. You guys can make low production cost composite planes in China I have been to the factories. You have a great scale model already it would take nothing to get it molded and the final product would be worthy of the price tag. Your cost would be less than $250 boxed ready to ship you can retail it for $1000. Good looking plane though, congrats! |
RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
I wish people would stop winning about price, it just distracts from this bad ***** plane. Could you reproduce it for less, eh?
