FiberGlass pacthing
Battlers Connection has fiberglass ships in thier catalog for combat ships.
My question is what do you use to patch the fiberglass hull? More fiberglass?

The fiberglass hulls first have the sides cut out. this gives you a skeletal frame to mount the
regulation balsa siding required in warship combat.
Then after a battle, all the patching once again only balsa.

RE: FiberGlass pacthing
After repeated re-skinnings (power sander eats a little more than just glue sometimes), & even from extreme battle damage now & then, it can be necessary to do some repairs to the fiberglass frame of the hull. When I need to, I do like you suggest: just patch it with some more fiberglass. I sometimes find myself having to "paint" a little resin onto a thin spot, & if a "rib" happens to break, it can be shored up with a little glass cloth & resin. We're talking about very, very small amounts here. To repair a cracked rib, all it really takes is a strip of cloth about 3/8" wide by a couple of inches long, & maybe a couple of ounces of mixed resin.
