Which RCV for VQ P51-D Warbird
VQ Warbirds are selling RCV engines as well now and I'm going for one.
The model I'm getting is the P51-D Mustang.
The specs are
Wingspan: 58.2 "
Fuselage: 46.8 "
Weight: ~ 5.9 - 6.4 lbs
Engine req: .40 - .46 (2 stroke), .70 (4 stroke)
I used to have a similar model with an OS 70 Surpass. I think the 58 size engine will be ok however I don't want it to be gutless in this model.
Please advise on what you think will be best
Thanks

RE: Which RCV for VQ P51-D Warbird
Hi Raj
Thanks for your enquiry. It's a tricky one as you definately don't want a gutless Mustang.
The RCV58CD will certainly power a 6lb model and I am sure this would be suitable. Check out our user gallery and there is a couple of 6 - 6.4lb mustangs flying successfully.

The RCV58CD is not as an OS70 though, so if you like to have even more power then you could always consider the RCV91CD which is the height of a 52 4-stroke (so still smaller than a conventional .70) and will have masses of power.
I hope this helps
Best regards
Laurenne
