Default RedCat "What is warranty for the Avalanche XP centter diff?"

I have had my red cat Avalanche XP a little over a month and the steering servo went out which red cat is replacing. and a Quart later the diff began to make a strange sound and the front and rear Tires no longer are independent it is locked in 4x4 I noticed that it was doing wheelies which i do not like cause it tears the body up Also is it OK to use a rear differential in the center? Please help!!

Hey Paul, did you contact where you pruchased it? I've had no problems with mine so far. i'm looking into converting it to run a rampage motor...Then I'll see how my center diff holds up. I may lock the center diff like yours. That mod works great on my Earthquake.

I don't know, but I've delt with rufaster before and had nothing but a pleasurable expierence with him. Are the gesrs in the center dif destroyed or did one of the pins break?

The denter Diff was running out ofround and thesteel gear on the center diffhad more play on the drive gear on one side of the spurr gear andon the other side had none ( the spurr gear teeth were sharp onone side and normal on the opposite side) everything was tight.so I took one of my extra rear ends and re did it. and nowit works fine the gears in side the center diffwere all rounded off no biggie i took care of it. but no chunks were found. I like this truck I think I will get a 2nd one. You know so they won't be lonely LOL ,catbob007.

I have a RD Logics SHO buggy that did that and it ended up being a bent chassi. You might want to check that...

My avalanche xp has done this also it ended up being that the right side of my engine mount screws had came lose and messed up the center diff. Once i locktite the engine mount screws and rebuild the center diff I have had no more problems so you might want to check that also.
