RE: Vid on Earthquake/Backdraft diff Shimming
Okay list of what you should need when dealing with the diffs in the Redcat Racing 8e series.
And Just FYI I was at my LHS track this weekend and am looking at getting a buggy kit (Mugen MBX6 ECO) about a $450-500 kit without: electronics, steeringservo, wheels, tires, controller or reciever. And I drove a buddys at the track he said that when I get it not to run until I re-shim the front and rear diffs as they are not right from the factory............ so it is not only a Redcatthing this is a pro race kit.....................with that said I am not saying it is a problem with Mugens productswhen racingit is a must to maintain the diffs in a race buggy or truggy, Nitro or electric.

some diffs may not need it as the manufacturing process on the diff cases themselfs is to blamein my opinion as the same diff may not have any side to side movement in one case and another it will need to be shimmed.
diff gears: http://www.urchobby.com/proddetail.p...803-027&cat=81
again these are cheap enough that you can have some spares.
the full diff assembled and in the case: http://www.urchobby.com/proddetail.p...803-025&cat=81
(but just check the play before you install and run)
if your case is okay save $6 and just get the diff itself: http://www.urchobby.com/proddetail.p...803-026&cat=81
and recheck the play once installed in the case.
