** Undestructable RC Body** in 0-20 deg weather
I have lined My stock Avalanche XP with Gorrilla Duct tape which makes it take hit after demolishing hit and stay strong Unbeliveable...

i did the entire underside of my eq 8e body and it is holding up extremely well. no problems so far and it has probably flipped on pavement about 10 times.. i would not waste your time using any other method.

sorry, i could have been clearer on that.....i used the guerilla tape, but i did the entire underside instead of just some like the previous pics in this post show. it took some time as i had to do a lot of trimming along the edges of the body, but man is it worth it. i can't tell you how much stronger it is. i will take photos tonight and post.

said part is that i read the title several times before i noticed it was spelled worng.
gorrilla tape is some crazy strong tape, it will adhear to most any surface.
the biggest weak point on many redcat bodies is the front bumper area and the body post holes.
adding tape to those areas, as well as adding larger washers(traxxas has large white plastic ones) to the body posts will help alot!

dumb question alert:
if you add the duct tape and the washers, how do you get the pin to go through the hole? it moves the pin hole into the body.

yes, on some models it may do that.
the washers need to be very thin ones for it to work.
but its worth it, as washers will spread the load on the lexan when there is an impact.

I did my Jeep body all in Gorilla tape. It's pretty strong but heavy.
What I do now is spray a couple of coats of auto grade bumper paint on the inside after painting. It makes it a bit thicker and the stuff is very flexible. I also use it on the outside of truck bodies for stuff like the bed, fender flares etc to give it a dull black look. Stuff holds on pretty good. I then use gorilla tape at the body mount holes, along where the mufflers sit and anywhere else something may rub or in any spots that have creases that could lead to splitting.

You mean undercarriage paint ? I have been running the same body that came with mu truck when i bought it I have a new one in the package waiting for the origional to give out but that tape keeps her together like crazy. I was jumping a 20 foot high snow bank the other day taking some wicked hits on the hood catching over 25 feet of air it was a blast I even video taped it but the video part of rc universe is shut off for some reason Bummer

I had bought a can back when I worked at Autozone some years ago to paint the mirrors on my truck. So I had some laying around and decided to try it. Seems to work pretty good. It's not going to make it too much stronger, but it does make a nice backing paint as it is thicker than standard paint.
