Please Redcat????........give us a steel spur for the Aftershock 8e.
Don't know why it is not an option but is it something we can look forward to in the future?

Thank you so much. This has to be the best response I have ever had by an actual manufacturer.
I am definately a Redcat fan now.

Wow, if it's that easy... I want an aluminum replacement for the plastic chassis brace mount that I just broke, lol

okay, now i'm confused. I bought my aftershock 8e second hand, (broken, but i already had a aftershock 3.5 that was wrecked so i could use it for parts for this new 8e, which was in better condition) - and it already had a bunch of mods - including a metal spur. I assumed it was a redcat hop up part, but apparently not.
I'll see if i can find any branding stamps on it when i get home...
Either way - good on redcat for making this happen
Now - if only they'll release that sweet race version of the 8e. :P

The Aftershock 3.5 steel gear is a 39 tooth but for the Aftershock 8E, you should be using a 46 tooth gear for best performance. We have not had the 46 tooth steel gear for the Aftershock 8E and this is what was requested by original poster.
While we are at it, we are getting the 49 tooth gear for the Earthquake 8E as well.
Thanks

sweet, ill get a steel spur for my earthquake 8e
is there a steel spur for the caldera 10e? a buddy of mine has one, and on 3s he has toasted a stock spur. i told him he should have checked the motor mount screws(i think the motor may have shifted) but he still wants a metal spur.

The staff at RedcatRacing are true sports. I know this from experience.
A couple months ago, I shipped my esc to them for evaluation because it was killing batteries. I mean, it would drain one normally, and the other to the point where it was unchargeable.
They shipped me, a brand new one at no charge. I love red cat

I too am very pleased with Redcat Racing Awesome Customer Support. I just had them spend me (free of charge) 2 new Aftershock 8e rear shocks last week because my 3 week old shocks were defective and would not hold fluid.
Now the fronts are blown after just moderate use (sucks). I'll see what Redcat does.
