Earthquake 8e motor wiring

Default Earthquake 8e motor wiring

So Ihave a question, how do you hook up the wires on a earthquake 8e, The esc has different colored wires than the motor, and like A idiot, I forgot to take a picture of the wires before i too out my motor,

Mine is Yellow - Yellow
Blue - Red
Orange - Black

Just put the yellow to yellow, and it doesn't mater for the others. It will just switch direction of the motor and your transmitter has a switch to take care of that.

Hook it up how ever you want to.... If the motor spins in reverse just switch any 2 of the wires and then you will have correct motor rotation.

So just out of curiosity what would happen if I hooked it up wrong (like if I hooked up the yellow wire to the red one)? Ive never tried it with a brush less motor, I remember doing it with a few brushed motors years ago accidently, and they just spun in reverse

It would just spin backwards and it would not do any damage at all.
