    [Shockwave] Pull Start Screws

Somehow, all 4 screws that attach the pull start to the engine managed to come loose and disappear on my Shockwave. These are the only screws I've managed to lose, and I thought it was very odd that all 4 should be missing within a week of running the vehicle. I e-mailed Redcat Support and am waiting on a response, but, my impatience to run the car this beautiful weekend has me wanting to appeal to the masses here.

My question is, does anybody know the specs / measurements, etc on the screws that attach the pull start to the engine? If they are pretty standard screws I'm wondering if I can find them locally either at the hoby shop(s) or hardware stores.

    Thanks!

    2.5mm thread
    6mm length

i just called redcat and asked'em

they do sell them, in packs of 3. so you would need to buy 2 packs. part # 18psscrew

but im sure you can find screws that will work at a hardware store.

Redcat support responded and are shipping me some replacement screws free of charge, awesome!

I'm also going to check locally to get back up and running sooner, the spares coming from redcat won't hurt to have on hand.

its pretty cool of them to do that. those parts are not covered under warrenty. but it never hurts to let redcat know what has happend to you model. they will always do their best to take care of customers.

Loctite them. I don't like the stock screws, I'm pretty sure they are made of lead. Ive recently been ordering screws from Tonys screw, he has really awesome screws, they are super strong
