Default Bent front shock tower on my tornado s30! please help

well I have i have a bent front shock tower!! i let my 13 year old nephew drive my tornado s30 on the street and he crashed it!!! since i hate waiting for parts to come in the mail, is there any traxxas or hpi shock towers that would work or any other shock tower that is stronger??? and i want wider front tires also! what can i use? thanks for the help in advance!

Why not just bend it back? Put it on a piece of steel and hit it with the hammer.

Agreed.

Or you could upgrade to carbon fiber. rufaster.com sells them.

I bought a set for my Shockwave. Love 'em.

Yes hammering it out would straighten it out! but that just put a band aid on my problem!! if youve worked with any type of metal...if you bend it one way then bend it back its 5x weaker than it was before!! thanks for the suggestion though!

redcat has both a carbon fiber shock towers
and thicker billet alloy shock towers. i put those on my tornado. they are twice as thick as the stock ones, and the alloy is stronger as well.

ur close by me. ii cood maik u 1 out of any thickness aluminum u want. 1/4" wood b indestructable.


also. r u goin 2 bigsquids rc car event saturday june 18th? 40th & harlem ave inda forest preserve. bout 25min frum palatine.

You don't think you could make it last long enough to get a replacement part?Order your part, bend it back and don't crash it in the meantime.

I ended up bending it back!! The thing is, i dont wanna wait! I'd rather go in to a hobby shop and pick up a shock tower! and i hate paying for shipping!!
