First off, im a newbieto this siteand to the rc hobby. So I have little knowledge of rc. But im here cause i have a redcat earthquake 3.5 and i am having problems with it wanting to take off after i crank it up. I have set the needles according to manual and it still does the same thing. It says for the idle screw to be 2 to 2.5 turns out. Does that mean 2 whole turns or what??any info or suggestions is very much appreciated

It sounds like you may have the throttle trim out of adjustment on the radio.

Check your idle screw and trim on the radio

take off air filter and look inside carb. Should only be a milimeter or two space in the carb. Check this with all electronics on.  if gab is too large adjust idle screw to decrease the gap. Start engine and see if problem exists.
