I have the tornado s30...... i love the buggy..... i haven't had any problems with the car that weren't self inflicted...... it runs extremely well..... it is extremely quick..... i disabled the two speed on account it is better when running off road....

My dad brought his Volcano EPX Pro with a lipo over this weekend and it made my Backdraft 3.5 look stupid. More power, more torque and a LOTless hassle. I'd go electric without a doubt if I could do it over, and from there it's basically just preference.

not the 3.0 but have both the caldera 10e and the caldera sc 10e electric versions... you need to oil / grease the differentials (they come alittle dry)
other then that i run blue 5000mha 20c batts and they hold up rather well so far... had them both about 6' in the air

It will take all 300 to get what you need to run the S30 if this is your first nitro truck because you will need to buy a glow igniter and fuel. I got the S30, a quart of fuel, and a basic starter set and it all came to 295 bucks. Been pretty happy with the truck so far. As another poster said, no big problems other than self inflicted ones. its a great truck and very fast.

I don't really understand why people say "don't get a nitro if you are on a tight budget." It's not that expensive. I buy a gallon of fuel for $30 bucks and run for several weekends. Many weekends. The stuff last for a while.
My electrics however may not need fuel, but being that they are not made as tough I find that they break more often and in the long run cost more for repairs. In fact, out of my four cars the nitros are the only ones that work right now. Both of the electics are down.

I advise people that are new to the sport to start with the electrics since they are plug and play , it is much harder to teach them glow power .
