Redcat prices goes up?
I got an email yesterday from my Redcat dealer in Quebec City.
Hello,
Following a price increases at Redcat Racing US and theCanadian dollar going down, I have to adjust my prices for vehicles.
RedCat justify this increase for the following reasons:
- Rapid increase in the rate of labor in China.
- Increase of magnetic material for Brushless.
For this reason I's sending you a price list that will be effectiveOctober 25.
Meanwhile, I will quote with former Redcat price until the introduction of the new price list.
Thank you very much for your understanding.
It's kinda crazy, as an example, the Backdraft 8E went from 289$ + tax to 365.58$ + tax.
Anyone heard about this?

RE: Redcat prices goes up?
as a dealer i knew about it.
in usa expect prices to change at the end of this month.
Redcat has pushed this change in price off as much as they can, selling off all its old stock while the new stock has been coming at at higher cost to them.
the labor rates, cost of magnets and exchange rate of US dollar all effect redcat's costs of the models.
the magnet cost increase is gonna be seen most everywhare. castle has already announced that its prices will go up.
the price of an ezrun 35amp system on hobbypartz.com went up $10 not long ago.
most of redcat's prices on models will only change by $10 or so. a few of the models wont change in price at all.
at the end of this month im gonna have to go threw my whole ebay store and update prices!
