    Voltage Cutoff Rockslide RS10xt 27mhz

Does anyone know if the REDCATstock ESC-E401 has a voltage cutoff? Came with a NIMH 7.2 v battery and want to run a 7.4v Lipo.
Want to know if I have to be concerned about run down voltage so I don't ruin the battery pack. Some say yes, some say no?

    Thanks for the help.

RE: Voltage Cutoff Rockslide RS10xt 27mhz

My stock RS10XT ESC never lasted long enough for me to find out.
Coming with a Nixx RTR I would imagine it is either not set for or does not have LVC for Lipo.

I can say that my RS10XT can run for 40 minuets on a 2200Mah 2S Lipo and is still well with in safe voltage limits.
Would guess that 50 minuets is the upper limit.

You would be safe to put the battery in it and crawl normally for 20 minuets and check voltage.

What Size "Mah" Lipo are you using?

The stock ESC does not have a low voltage cutoff installed.

    It does not have LVC.

I have run some crawlers without LVC and find that when the voltage of the cells hits 2.9-3.1 you can notice a drop in power...meaning its time to stop.

but a 4000mah lipo means close to an hour of runtime, and if you keep that in mind and dont run for more than 1/2 hour at a time you will be fine.

The other cheap option is a low voltage alarm. You can get them on ebay for $5-$10. They plug into the balance plug and beep when voltage hits 3 or 3.1v.
