Default Bent screws on Calders 10e steering arms keep occuring????

It seems everytime I drive this truck the screws bend on the steering arms. Any advise. I swapped a few screws from other places on the truck that were the same size but now Im all out. Is there a stronger screw Ican use? The bent screws are making it to where the servo cant work and the wheels wont turn. By trial and error I have founf out the screws keep bending.

Billy from Redcat..anything I can do? Now Im sitting on a truck that Icant drive because the wheels wont turn

I just go to the hardware store and buy hardened screws for mine. If I can't find them I usually just order like a pack of 10 or however they come from a Redcat Dealer.

I do lots of projects, so i need lots of hardware laying around.
so i buy RC screwz hardware kits.
They make them for many different models.
Not for redcats tho.....but they are all machine thread / hex head / high grade.
the kits have several differnt lenghts, as well as nuts and such.
If you can spare the change, get the emaxx kit. tons of hardware in that set.
I have that set and have used some of its screws in my rock crawlers, my volcano and many other models
$30 may seem like alot to drop, but trust me these kits come in VERY handy!

thanx for that link. I hadnt seen any on ebay.
wish they would make more for the 1/10's. they have the GP, vortex are only 1/10's.

They have a kit for the 1/5 rally car. How long has it been since redcat sold those? Any why did they stop? There are soo few 1/5 onroad cars out there as is. I would love a 1/5 gas car!

Will the screws for the 1/10 Votex fit my Caldera? I am assuming that they will, but want to make sure before ordering them. Thanks.

the vortex is not the same chassis as the caldera.

Im certain that many of the screws will work...but not all of them.

These kits often have specific parts, like hinge pins and such.....those wouldnt work on another model.

But alot of the hardware is generic....same thread and thickness, just different lengths.

As i has said, i have a rc screwz emaxx kit and i use screws from it on redcats, losi, and other traxxas models.

LOL yes it has been quite awhile since they sold the rally but HSP still sells the rally under a different name overseas, but here in the states the rally did not sell much at all I mean very few thats why redcat stop selling them. Yes I do agree there are so few 1/5 on road cars.

Im sure regular metal home depot screws should work alot better. This isnt a car Im trying to spend lots of mula on. Apparently redcat is about to make upgrades steering hubs and knuckles that will come with 4mm better screws instead of the crappy 3 mm

what does the HSP version of the 1/5 onroad go for?
can you get parts easy?
was it at least as good as redcat's other 1/5s?
I would think that a 1/5 onroad would hold up better than a 1/5 offroad. no real jumping and smoother surface should make is last longer, right.
