tornado s30 enigine swap

Default tornado s30 enigine swap

ok i have a redcat tornado s30 that i want to take and put my traxxas pro .15 motor in it. So i was wondering if there are any kits to get the clutch bell to reach to the prim. gears? As it is to short other wise and wont reach or am i ganna have to mod in new holes for it to work? Allso dose any body know if redcat dose and engine exchange deal like "traxxas" and "hpi" dose ?

not so sure about the .15 but i have seen someone who drilled holes in his chassis and got his 3.3 to work.

Yes, Redcat does have a engine replacement program.

basically sending in the old motor will get you a replacement at 1/2 the retail cost of a new one.

as for the TRX .15, if there is room to move the motor mounts just by drilling new holes, that is what i would do. Easier IMO then buying a new clutch bell that will reach the spur gear.
