the xl has a .21 engine, the xp has either the .27 or the .28 sh, the pro has the .28 sh and aluminum upgrades. the .28 sh is a more powerful engine than the .27 infinity or the .21.

i have the infinity, i am looking to get the sh.28 but i dont think you can get replacement parts for them, i have allso been looking at Marks STS engines too at stsmicroengines.com. I am happy with the infinity .27 but i think the engine is wearing out, i havent run it in a while but last time i did it wasnt running too good.

Hey what's up?How many gallons do you think you have ran threw it so far? And is it running rough or just idling poorly? They wear out front bearing fast and then it leaks air you know like a vacum air leak then it runs lean and you get a lean misfire. And it can be so small that it does not leak oil and fuel just the air leak. The way I check for air leaks is put some fuel in a spay bottle and run the engine and spay around the bearings and the base of the carb and if the ilde goes up then there's your problem. I don't know if that helps but give it a try if you want. Eric

last time i ran it, there was not much compression when it was at temprature and it kept stalling so i think the piston and sleeve are shot. compression is not bad when cold. will have to check again when i get a chance. thanks for the advise, i had a .15 nitrostar that did that with the front bearing.

That's cool keep it in mind for some other time. Sound like maybe she's just old and needs to be pinched. I think the guy from all about the fun hobbies had some sleves and pistons and engine parts?Check it out.

Just a query? Just wondering why this thread was started up as a sticky when there is a year old thread for the hurricane already running? Its just unnecessary double up. Same with the trucks too. Anyway just a thought..

Mozzzy there was a pole on this a few weeks ago and pretty much eveyone liked the idea, over 90% said it was a good idea. Ithink its a good idea to keep everything in one place. here's a link to the thread.

I just purchased a Hurricane XP with an SH28 engine. I ran it the first time today, to start breaking in the engine. Seems like tons of power and the handling was great. I really think I'll need wider and bigger tires/wheels. Any idea where I should look? I also have a Volcano SV which is one totally awesome truck. Many thanks.
