Default just got my first truck. RC question

I just got my first RC truck ( Redcat Avalanche XTR) and have a friend that just bought one as well. I was wondering if we will both be able to operate our trucks in the same area as one another. If so are there steps that must be taken in order for the vehicle to operate properly? thanks.

they should both have 2.4 radios. they will have no problem operating together and will not interfere with each other

thank you. Thats what I assumed from them being digital transmitters operating on that frequency, I was just confused by the "bind" button on the transmitter.

2.4ghz radios "scan" for a free channel to use when they turn on.

Aint much that will interefer with a 2.4 radio. No worries about someone else's radio getting in the way.
