I think the duratrax evader body would be the best bet. It uses front body posts mounts that are pretty close to what the XTG uses.
Most any stadium truck body could be MADE to fit tho. Just a matter of lining up body post holes.

Or you could get a OEM body and line the inside with tape or shoe goo to reinforce it. The body is indeed a bit weak and since the chassis is a ST style it does very little to protect the body. when the truck flips or crashes, the body takes most of the impact.

Adding washers to the body posts will also help spread the load on the body.

EDIT: HMMMM....do you think i may be able to fit a rustler body?

I think it should be possible. the major difference for both the evader and rustler bodies is that they use a single rear body post in the center of the body. The XTG uses 2 rear body posts. the trick is to have those posts not be to far out so as to end up in the "shock tower" part of the body. the part over the rear wheels that pops up.
If you convered the XTG to use a single rear body posts that would help.

Okay thanks. I dont understand what you mean by not having those posts out too far as to end up in the shock tower? Could you explain further?

most stadium bodies have "humps" where the shocks fit under.
I circled the humps in the pic. If the body posts are to wide apart, they may end up in these humps and that wont work well.

Id look for a body that has a fairly flush area between the humps. The flatter the easier you can make the mounting holes.
