This looks sweet. I am really digging on the green and the blue bodies. Any idea what the street price will be on this badboy? I haven't been excited about a model in a while. But this one peaked my interest.

Looks really nice, I'm definitely keeping my eyes on this one.

It looks likes they don't have 17mm hubs.
Anyway, The tires on the mirage may not be that much larger than a SCT tire. So no real reason to use a bigger hex IMO.

That is cool! I do want one. Where's Christmas when you need it? LOL.
Is the next model a 2.2 scale crawler? Please make one. Axials are very pricey!

I turned my rs10 into a more scale rig. But it took a fair bit of custom work.
But using the rs10's lower links, shocks, axles and electronics one can make a decent scaler if they build their own chassis. Would be cool if redcat did the same.

RE: New Vehicles Coming Soon
I wish redcat would build a 10Th scale buggy with a out law big block engine for us out law racers. We have to drill the frames and use small block aluminum clutch bell and small block motor mounts with drilled holes in the engine mounts to fit the engine to the tornado chassis. When redcat could machine the chassis and linkage set up as a kit for a conversion?? Just a thought.

RE: New Vehicles Coming Soon
specs now availible on the mirage:
Specifications
Motor Type: Electric Brushless KV2574
Drive System: 4 Wheel Drive
Length: 571mm
Width: 317mm
Height: 216mm
Dry Weight: 5.8 lbs without battery
Wheelbase: 336mm
Ground Clearance: 57mm
Shocks: Aluminum Body Oil Filled Pro Style
Speed Control: Splash Proof 14.8v Brushless ESC
Battery: 11.1v 30C 3000mAH LIPO
Radio System: 2.4GHz Radio System
should go on sale 3/5
Pretty sure these will be +/- $300
About the same time, the stryker will be for sale.
some new pics.
brushed version will be about the cost of the lightning STK, and the brushless a bit more than a epx pro.
Im thinking seriously about getting a brushed version for myself.

It looks cool just not sure how resell will b on the strykr people around here like to bash and im not sure if this fits that bill, the mirage now is a different story. I have several customers drooling over it! I will have 1 for personal use but im not a brushed fan so mine will be brushless

I thought darin had said there would be a brushed version of the Mirage but no sign of that yet on their site...only shows the brushless version.
The only way a brushed could work is if they had a 14.4v ESC with a 775 (traxxas summit titan sized) motor. And I dont see that costing them anyless than the brushless setup. But maybe im wrong.
The strykr may do well. granted offroad models generally sell better as there are more places to use them. But on the other hand, I cant think of any other "trike" offering out there. Anyone can buy a 4wd onroad and there are tons of options. But if anyone wanted something unique to drive on pavement, now they have a option.

The brushed version of the Mirage just isn't ready yet. We have been testing numerous motor/esc combos and we are not happy with the performance but I think we are getting close.
We still plan to offer the brushed version, but selling a big off road vehicle that goes 15MPH just won't do it for us.
The brushless version on the other hand is something we are very happy with
