Default wltoys truggy 2019, need help with steering thx !

Dear friends,

Need a help with wltoys truggy 2019, assembly of steering wheel gives me a hard time.

It's my kid's 6y old first fast RC car, and he's really enjoying it...

Had some loosened wire, which I have managed to put where it belong but as it always finds it;s way front of the car (steering dismantled when I pushed it slightly), what happened is that there is a kind of spring that holds tires centered, or should I say when u steer left or right *spring back wheels in center for easier drive*...
Did my home work all night and could not manage to get the spring to it place, at leas I have no clue what is the right place for the spring...

So if any of u guys can help me out, will be appreciated much..

Pictures are showing front steering of the car and *spring*.
If there is anything else I can do tell me pls..

Thanks

Just so u know I have put in place everything except *spring* and the car works, but not recentering the steering, so it's a bit difficult to drive it....

hi
this forum is for hobby grade Redcat Racing brand RCs
there is a forum on RCU for toy grade rcs...what you have.
I cant really tell from pics how to solve your problem. I do understand what you have, as I have pulled apart many toy grade RCs and know how the steering usually works. The self-centering spring is always a pain.
Is there an adjustment on the underside of the car for the steering? Many toy rc's have a centering-adjustment. This small lever is usually tied into that spring.

not certain, but I think you need to uncross the spring ends. Instead of them crossing before the adjustment part, they should each go straight out from the spring's coil. that way they will have some tension on them. and the ends of the springs should then place on either side of the servo arm.
I tried to draw a pic of what I mean. And this is only my best guess, its hard to tell from pics. If I was there I could probly whip it back together real quick, but that's easier when you have the parts in your hand

no problem. its not that im super smart, it just comes down to experience. at this point Ive owned over 200 hobby grade rc's and tinkered on at least a dozen toy grade models. The more you work on them, the better you grasp the basic construction and design.
Ive had a few toy grade models which I put full hobby grade electronics into. setting up the steering is always the most difficult part of such a conversion. Its hard to imagine that the over complicated steering which toy grade rc's use actually costs less to make then a simple steering servo that hobby grade models use.
