Hello all, i took in a Blackout XTE on craigslist and was surprised by how much punishment it could take as i had heard a lot of bad things about Redcat in general. I swapped out the stock brushed motor with a castle brushless system i had and woke it up. We have been doing a little speed testing with it, but i am having no luck finding pinion gears for it. The manual, breakdown, and many sites and forums i have looked in to say it is a "mod 0.6". i have ordered 2 different pinions and neither one has been the correct pitch. Mod 0.6 is way too fine for the spur gear in this truck. Does anyone know what pitch the stock 55t spur is? Thanks.

Hey zx798 , looks like your truck has .8 Mod gears . I have heard you can use 32P gears as they are almost identical .

32 PITCH WORKS VERY GOOOOOD.......MY CALDERA HAS MAYBE 15 RUNS & STILL LOOKS ALMOST NEW.
13T/55T(modified 55T) from other truck.(axle/wheel/hex makes a good spacer) RR 13T steel w/55T plastic.
