right now I have a castle sw3 5700kv in my rustler, and use 2s lipo in it. so id like to keep with 2s up to 3s (currently just own 2s)

The components linked above^^^can be found in combos for around one-hundred dollars shipped. For 2S use only. If going to 3S packs, then I'd look at 120A ESCs to cover most any motor/battery combo you put in your RC.

I put the Castle sidewinder in my Blackout and I love it, but the top speed is not there. I will keep up with a Rustled VXL until about 35mph then I top out. Also use a 2s from the BatteryGuy...great battery!

Hard to beat the castle sidewinder as far as a solid choice for reasonable money. The good news is the Blackout's drivetrain handles brushless well . My current setup in my Blackout has a 550 size high torgue motor (2200kv or so), it fits barely with the longer motor case but it works well with the sidewinder and makes 3s manageable for bashing (vs too fast).
