Default Blackout pro fan upgrade

I've ran the car 3s plenty times . usually in yard but 46 stock street 3s. today decided to check engine temps with heat gun it was raining outside so flipped car upside down and ran it for 2mins or so full throttle and tire unglued and 117f notices the fan stopped working. What 12v fans are there that fit stock module? If car still drives I'm assuming its the fan crapped out like the red tag warning thanks its 2 months old. Car does get 170s degrees with 3s and 140s stock 2s

Fan works next day after cleaning out esc fins maybe some embedded grass had jammed it. Thanks here I think it mentions the 5v being OK on the bec wp50 ESC

The stock 5v fan is 25mm despite the cover I found a lot of grass embedded in the cooling fins. I don't see how that could help with cooling but maybe played 5-10 times in yard. Just needed cleaning and the fan works now thanks

It says the 5v fan is OK on the wp50 esc because of the bec if I'm reading it correctly but it does variable voltage. From a smooth engine fan to a quieter wind up fan similar to a beeZ or UFO firecracker with 3s plugged in.

https://youtu.be/Fx-TdEPYpsI Fan works today but blows up out of esc. I had cleaned bunch of grass that was down in esc fins. Does anyone know if these things are suppose to blow in or out of esc. It has 3 prong esc vs 2 wire fan. I'm just not sure what's better I'm assuming it needs to blow on esc to cool it but there are vents on side esc car body that could provide air circulation.

Sorry, that link is for 25mm fans. Just plug in the correct size you are looking for.

The original stock 5v fan is only for NiMh 7.2v or LiPo 2s/7.4v batteries.

You need to look for a 30mm x 30mm 12v 2-pin jst connector:
https://www.google.com/search?site=&source=hp&q=30mm+fan+12v+jst

This is what I have on my truck: for Lipo 3 Cells / 12.6V Batteries (Discontinued), Tornado High Speed Fan ,(YA-0256) by Yeah Racing

You just need to find a similar 30mm x 30mm x 10mm 12v fan with the same 2-pin jst connector.

I have tried to find a fan on several rc online shops but they all seem to be sold out or discontinued.

Maybe there is a RC shop somewhere near you? They might have the fan you need.

Update: fan has been going out again got it working today but seems to be blowing less. I need a 30mm 30mm 10mm 12v. Stock is 5v .20amp. the 12v 30mm on Amazon are like .08amp or whichever that means. I'm going to go ahead and order a 12v 30mm from amazon. Anyone have any good or bad experience with not stock fans or good recommendation for amazon? They have 3$-10$ 12v fan. I may just order a cheaper one but the .08 12v isn't going to matter vs the stock .20 5v?

I cured my fan problems (mostly) by placing a 3x1 open cell piece of foam across the top. Sure the length is long, but i shove the extra down the ends to help secure the foam in place. This keeps the grass and trash from getting into the blades. It won't get all the grass, but it gets most of it. I run mine each day for my dog 2 batt. runs on the grass using 3200 LIPO and grass was a big problem at first. With the foam I may have to clean the foam off once a week. I've found if the fan stops after you've cleaned everything, most likely you have a small piece of wood chip wedged and locked at the very end of a fan blade and won't let it turn. They are usually very difficult to see too.

You cover the fan with foam? I know there is all kinds of foam densities, but I picture in my head the air being restricted by using foam as a protective cover. Perhaps a piece of pantyhose would work better? Just a thought. They would be more porous It works like a charm, on motors with lots of openings on the can, at keeping out dust and debris.
