i dont think he was talking to you martin, i dont think that what you did would bother the engine, its actually a prett good idea actually. i would think that the one way would eventually fall off though.

livindead i have had the truck for over a month and have had no problems. I have other rc vehicles from various other companies like kysosho, hpi, traxxas, tamiya etc. and i am pretty impressed with the truck. i have ran at least 10 tanks of fuel thru it. the tornado xp i bought is a different story. have had several problems, pull start broke before i even got it started, radio clitches on the throttle(steering is fine, need new radio system), the front and rear aluminum shock towers bent with a little rough driving, not jumping. Needed to work on the car to get the trans to shift to second gear(alot of trial and error)owners manual has no info on it what so ever. Worst owners manual ever printed. Sorry redcat but i found the buggy to have alot of problems.

whatever it takes for functionality is what it takes. The radio is the #1 upgrade you can make in rc... period.

single speeds are better for the track anyways. you might not get the top speed, but you wont be in between gears tryin to hit the powerband.

Livindead...people have been hashing it out over those speed claims for quite a while now...LOL!

I truly feel the speeds are actually in KPH and somehow it got translated wrong to MPH..

But...they ARE quite fast!

No Blackdog...YOU didn't get it wrong....whoever translated everything to english and put that on the box and on websites did...in my opinon that is and it makes pefect sense to think the way I do about it...

For example...1 KPH = .63 MPH...so if you do the math (using 60 KPH as your number) it comes out to 37.8 MPH and I will definitely believe these trucks are capable of pushing 40 MPH or maybe even a tad more depending on tuning...fuel...weather conditions..etc.

COOL!

My helper here at my shop is a deputy sheriff and we were going to clock my 'Cane XP but then we got dumped on with about 2 feet of snow this past weekend so it's going to have to wait a while...I'm anxious to see what it will do though!!
