I thought people got banned from here from discussing other products?

I was being a *****
Nobody got banned. It's one thing to discuss something on the side in a thread when you're still posting on-subject...it's a whole nother thing to make a whole thread that is entirely unrelated to Redcat products.

RE: OFFICIAL Redcat Racing TRUCK thread
i'm not doing fine as some may think.. In fact my life is in shambles.. But I saw and heard of some people getting banned for asking some simple questions so I thought that i would remind some of the mods. Here. And To all of you people that think i'm some sort of r/c jerk or god.. I'm not.. But one thing is if i know something works I will state it or disagree with yah.. Can't wait to get back on my feet so to speak..

But I as a moderator don't fell anyones post should be deleated in the redcat forum and have never banned/deleated anyone!
I look at it this way: Anyone that reads this post has or is interested in redcats products & should be allowed to post just like the rest of us.
I will never ban someone for asking any question rc related no matter how simple the question is.
(I mean I was new at this 17years ago asking simple questions myself about my first rc-10)
I would'nt be as enthused with rc's as I am now if someone would have shot all my little questions down!
We do all apreciate you here entity & hope your recovery goes well.

Any further comments on the subject will be deleted, because you OBVIOUSLY don't know what happened, because if you DID, you would not be making the comments you are.

we're working on a 1/10 4wd electric buggy and a 1/10 electric TC. Yeah, we're outta Lightnings...unfortunately, we won't have any more until about the 20th of next month.

RE: OFFICIAL Redcat Racing TRUCK thread
well i know all about the brushless.. but most peeps cant afford them off the bat. and the standard esc for the motors will not handle em.. so.. i suggest starting off with the norm 540 can etc.. and work out a deal for a esc that can handle a brushless motor..

RE: OFFICIAL Redcat Racing TRUCK thread
Yeah, I read the review of that car in RCD...I was disappointed when I saw a GS Storm RTR that was converted. It IS a conversion Ive wanted to do ever since I saw studysession's Hong Nor 9.5 though
it wouldn't be very cost-effective to have a brushless-ready car...but...it WOULD be something that not many other people offer.
The feedback from customers and dealers is what makes this forum kickass[8D]

RE: OFFICIAL Redcat Racing TRUCK thread
correct.. thats why you should start out with a plain jain electric.. and esc to handle up to whatever power.. then work on a esc and brushless set up.. in the future.. Again venom will work with you and will put your own name on there products.. I have worked with them before.

RE: OFFICIAL Redcat Racing TRUCK thread
Hi
i would go with the 16t, it;s the same as the one that is stock on the truck,
I eventually redid my shocks with 50W oil and man i can;t even explain the difference, i haven't run them in the truck yet, i'm still waiting for some parts to come through, i got let down on some others and had to make a quick plan, some of the shocks had hardly any oil in them which was "shocking" haha sorry didn;t realise what i said to afterwards,
Does anyone know where i can get the T-MAXX shocks from? i have the springs but the bottom cup on the stock shocks is too small and i want to get the shocks for the tmaxx, i saw them on tower but i already got the springs i just want the shocks, anyone know a site?
i wanted to know, does jumping the truck wear out the spur and diffs quicker? i stripped my spur gear after 5 really good high jumps...
cheers

RE: OFFICIAL Redcat Racing TRUCK thread
Jumping wears EVERYTHING out quicker. does that mean you should stop? Heck no! LOL.
But seriously, land without being on the throttle or the brake...and everything should stay hunky-dory for ya.

RE: OFFICIAL Redcat Racing TRUCK thread
As of yet there are no metal gears available. Buy the plastic gears and make sure they are meshed properly with the clutchbell. Check the FAQ/ Repair post up top for more gear info.
