yes on wand and yes on backplates I have to confirm this but I am getting few samples in about 10 days.

I need to test before we pull the trigger on the order.

guys.. just cut some holes in your bodies to get to the fuel tank.. and cut one in the front of the windshield and the rear to allow air to flow through.. To keep temps down. And so the bodie does not lift during acceleration. Very simple.

put a pull tie on the hole in the tank lid and put a hole in the body above the fuel tank, make sure the pull tie is long enough to stick out of the hole in the body, this way you dont have to take of the body to fuel it up. also make sure you cut out the back of the body, you will see the cutout impression on the inside of the bed of the truck, this way you can get to the pull start and put the glow ignitor on.

darin, got my parts today, and as I expected they are the same thing. Nice to be able to order parts and have them overnighted. Yeah it cost some $ but I can order from home and have at home in 24 hours or less. Local hobby shops may have the parts or not this is nice option for someone who got there truck from Hong Kong. =)

Thanks for all the emails and web sites darin

Great support.

About those roto starts. I just ordered the backer plate and had to shave alittle off the bottom for the holes to line up and I just use one of my cordless drills and a long flat screw tip adapter. My drills are already paid for and they last way longer than the starter that they sell. Ofna backplate part #50010 works on a .21 and .27 infinity. Cost me about ten bucks total...

If your engine has a shaft already go on ebay and Look up: Tiger Drive S680
If its not a shaft engine then search Tiger Drive s689

hey darin, you guys might want to take a look at the pull start. the one on my truck has broken about 6 times. i ordered a hpi roto start for it. so that will fix my problem. but you may want to look into putting roto starts on stock. or maybe make it an upgraded version available. that would be neat.
The pullstart is just the quality of Team Infinity/Toki engines. Nothin they can really do about that.

Why? he shouldn't be held responsible for the bad airfilter design. They have those stupid small pins that hold the screen cover in... and if you race/bash, thats a no no. Have had those pop off in a hurry. Never use them and take it to a track, other racers will laugh you home. They are a gimmick, just like the K&N air filters for rc.

well kemo, why not give your suggestion instead of just putting people down???? Seems like your such an RC racer since you have sponsors like you keep saying over and over. What would you suggest for a pull start fix, what about an air filter??? Some advice from the sponsored racer would be nice!!

ok, the pullstart quality has nothin to do with redcat... so peeps should stop placing the blame on him. If he could do something about it, we know he would . Toki makes the engines for "Team Infinity", which is the engine that comes stock in Redcat vehicles. Toki has been known for their huge shortcuts in engine development, and if anyone has ever had a Fantom Racing engine, you'll know what I mean... same deal there. But as far as pullstarts go, I think its time you guys ditch them and get a bump starter or something! Those P/S (pullstarters) are garbage... not saying every pullstart is, but those on TOKI designed engines are.

Now, as for air filters, OS has excellent filter elements. Measure your carb intake, widest point of the inlet to the other widest side. If its one cm, I think i know what will work out for you. If its bigger, i'll have to measure the carb opening on my STS.

Oh shoot, was lookin at wrong engine for the volcano... that engine is same as quality as SH... they have had huge p/s problems too. (its basically a cheaper SH engine).

Should be a standard shaft engine. Not sure about tiger drives, never used them before.

This one should fit: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGFK6&P=7
Dynamite engines are also SH. The "VERTEX" engine is also a SH.
