do you mean the spring slipper clutch setting or the mesh between the clutch bell and the spur?

well i was trying to fix the tire because it was flat when it was on the truck. i think the foam in the tire got wet and fell apart. so i was taking the tire off the rim and the tire ripped. theres a big slice in it now. now its in the trash. thats why i dont have a back tire.

Booo, i don't like that version of the story... how about when you crashed the rear end got tossed up in the air and the throttle got jammed so the tire flew off and killed a rabid squirrel that was about to bite an infant. So in essence your volcano is a hero.
That works.

Use a piece of notebook paper to set in between the diff/clutch bell for proper gear mesh.
And the spring should be compressed alittle more than halfway compressed.
Hope this helps ya!
keep us posted!

(setting it too loose will melt the spur gear away so mabey 3/4 spring compressed).

Hey Eze,
I am trying to make a list of parts that fit on our trucks ... Is it possible for you to send, if there is one, the code of that clutch spring from TRAXXAS ?? something I could look up on internet and find it easy... I am new at this but I am starting to accept the fact that I WONT have any redcat or himoto parts for sell in Brazil !! it is good to read that parts from TRAXXAS fit perfectly !!! If you happen to know any other part that you could post .... PLEASE DO !!

Regards,

Bananaboat

Hey Bananaboat,

I'll send parts to Brazil, I don't predict any problems.

We've shipped to Germany, Poland & Canada so far without problems.

Mark

so far the only traxxas part number that i have found is the 4146x its a clutch spring and shoe package, although ive only used the pring cause the shoes are tooo small, and cause these cars not to run very fast

i make it so there's no slip of the clutch at all, these dont pull the front ends up anyway so you dont need to let it slip, you can usually tell when you take off, you can hear it, like its revving but not snapping off the line.

I found something we can use. It is the HPI racing clutch bell. They are a little more money but I think its worth it in long run. Plus I look at it as an upgrade part too because it makes the truck fast on take off. I installed the 15T one and NO MODs needed. You use the same bearings too.. I think its going to last longer then the stock ones http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXLST8&P=ML

Hey thanks for the information!! Now did you use the redcat shoes and sping? And did you say you went with the 15 t, because your only posted the 16 t and the 17 t. I found the 15 t here http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLST7&P=M

Great Work,
