Awesome man. I really dig the wheels. I hate to even admit it but I seem to have more fun with my Himoto than any of my name brand rc's. Like I said, my Cyclone can't hold a candle to my MGT on durability but for the money you cant beat it. I also dont worry abouty breaking it like I do my high $ MGT making it that much morte enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, my monster is awesome and a I enjoy it too but the Cyclone is such a "grab and go and don't worry" type of vehicle. I do work on it a lot, seems like 70% of the buggy is bent or out of wack after each run, but it was my first hobby grade rc and the lessons I've learned have been essential to enjoying the hobby. But hey I'm rambling again and I've posted these opinions before. So thanks for the compliment and dont let anyone tell you that you cant paint the outside of a body cause thats a stock shell in the pic. post u later

yep check out my buggy in the pic 4 posts up, thoes are jato 2.8 rear wheels on it, but any truck 2.2 or 2.8 truck wheels and tiers will fit, just make sure u always buy REAR wheels since the buggy is 4wd

My friends have RC boats and I have a Tornado XP so we spend quite a bit of time with nitro powered toys. The question always comes up, "how fast does it go?" Well, I bought a radar gun so we could find out
My XP's two-speed transmission went south on my first tank of fuel so I'm running in low gear only. Also the tires are completely bald (don't know if that makes a difference). We went out to a vacant road where we could reach maximum RPM. Best run of the day after playing with the tune: 42 mph!
Then the engine started running poorly so we stopped playing with the car and went on to the boats. For the boaters here, we have a Shockwave 36 with a slightly larger prop than standard, and running 30% on its Dynamite .32. We put the trim tabs up as high as we can (it becomes very unstable, but fun!) to get the best speed possible out of it. Best run: 37 mph. There's more in it, but then we busted the flexshaft and lost the prop

wow thats faster than i would have expected out of the single speed, thats right up there with any other 10th scale car (with the exception to the 3.3s) thats impressive. that sux u lost the prop[

Since I now need to fix the 2-speed transmission to get more speed out of it, what parts do I need? I see there's a 02045 "2 speed drive clutch" ... is that the part that usually breaks? Is it tough to replace inside the transfer case? Or do I need the complete "moderate gear set"?

the part you said (two speed clutch) is what makes it shift so i would suggest replacing it or taking apart your trans and lubing up the old one.

or the drive clutch may just need to be adjusted, there are 2 set screws in it one that holds it on the tranny shaft and one that adjusts the shift point, i think u screw that screw (not the one that holds it in place, the other one) all the way in and then back out 2 turns for a good shift poin,t but i dunno, ehroof, do u know how many turns out that screw should be? i was wondering that too.

not really sure, dont overtighten the screw or you will mess the spring up inside, i would snug it tight, turn out 1 turn and try, another and try until you get it

I took the transfer case all apart and cleaned & lubed the shifter with WD-40. As far as I can tell it seems to be working, in that the dog pops out and is under a bit of spring tension. Two turns out on the adjuster are too much as the set screw starts to hit the plastic gear. Regardless, I put it all back together and it's still not shifting. I guess I'm going to have to order some parts. And my damn clutch spring has let go again too [:@]. Oh well, at least I'm getting really good at tearing this thing apart and putting it back together [8D]

I am at 1 1/2 my dads is almost 3 so you'll have to just do small turns like ehroof said. My first drive clutch was 2 turns so good luck with it very touchy. I think it matters on your settings also lean and rich because you need high enough rmps to get it to shift.

you can put the Volcano tires and wheels on there but you will not be able to keep the buggy body on because at full turn the tires would hit the body. I have pictures of my bb with stx wheels on it let me know if you would like to see them.
